(E 120°00ʹ00ʺ--E 170°00ʹ00ʺ/N 60°00ʹ00ʺ--N 10°00ʹ00ʺ). Map of China with the eastern part of India extending up to Tibet at the left and the lower part of Japan at the right with the Philippines at bottom centre. The map shows in some detail the provinces of China as well as those of Iapon (or Niphon) [i.e. Japan]. Note there are geographical inaccuracies such as Cambodia placed west of Siam [i.e. Thailand] and the general disproportions can be attributed to the naive engraving style of the 17th century. This map includes a number of pictorial features such as ships and a decorative cartouche at the bottom right. Relief is shown pictorially Cartouche title Dedication on cartouche: To the Hon.bl. Sir Thomas Peyton of Knolton in the county of Kent Baronet, this mapp is humbly dedicated by Richard Blome Call number G7820 1682 B56
