Abstract
In this thesis, we study reasons how existing mobile payment solutions are not widely used in a
cross-border travel context, and we proposed an innovative cross-border mobile payment
application that connects different mobile payment operators across different countries to enable
the cross-border mobile payment process to become as easy as it is domestically. We
constructed a research model consists of different stake holders’ perspectives on what factors
will influence their willingness in adopting a cross-border mobile payment solutions, the model
was inspired by prior studies on digital payment industries. A total of nine hypotheses were

have a vision to build a platform that connects different mobile wallets in different countries that
provides our customer a series of benefits such as simple KYC registration process, Convenient
adding/withdrawing funds overseas, transparent fees and exchange differences
