Abstract

During the pandemic, thermal monitoring systems are widely adopted for screening people with high body temperature.
Thermal sensors with a high degree of accuracy are expensive, which is mainly due to the required calibration and trimming procedures. Therefore, high accuracy sensors are only adopted in industrial applications.

This study tries to lower the cost of developing an effective self-checking station with embedded AI technology for fever screening by hardware trade-off and software optimization, to keep the cost within the market acceptance price. The study tries to make this solution widely accessible to serve our community during the COVID-19 period.
