Abstract
As the e-commerce platforms flourishingly develop, there are various promotion operations, and the most common one is offering coupons with a high threshold to stimulate customers to buy more products all at once. Nevertheless, customers sometimes find that the products that a single user buys are below the coupons or could not enjoy the free delivery service. To meet the threshold and enjoy the instant rebates, they often need to spend much time looking for others with the same need to place an order together, which is time-consuming and filled with lots of transaction exposure.

Nevertheless, customers sometimes find that the products that a single user buys are below the coupons or could not enjoy the free delivery service. To meet the threshold and enjoy the instant rebates, they often need to spend much time looking for others with the same need to place an order together, which is time-consuming and filled with lots of transaction exposure.
To solve this problem, we develop a Crowdrebate platform that collects users’ requests and groups them into a set of orders qualifying to use the suitable coupons by the Crowdrebate algorithms. The Crowdrebate platform is equipped with several novel techniques, including the Crowdrebate algorithms grouping orders for the maximum instant rebates, lightweight web crawling, novel items recommendation, and personalized data visualization.
In this thesis, firstly, we introduce the technology of Crowdrebate, including the architect of the system and the consideration of Crowdrebate algorithms. And then, we thoroughly interview the potential users, and we design the Crowdrebate platform, basing on their requirements.
In the end, we analyze the platform’s feasibility via target customers and the market size of Crowdrebate. Fully considering our target customers, we design suitable business models and marketing strategies. Finally, we introduced our financial budget and future plan.
