Abstract
This chart appeared in Sayer and Bennett's "East India Pilot". It covers the eastern coasts of China and Korea, the Ryuku islands, and western Japan. It is based on the works of the Dutch chart maker, Van Keulen, and the surveys of the French Jesuit and mathematician, Father Gaubil, who lived in China from 1722 to 1759.
