Abstract
Covers Southeast Asia and East Indies. This woodblock map was one of the earliest printed maps of the Asian region, engraved for Lorenz Fries' atlas, "Opus Geographiae", in 1522 and reissued in subsequent edition of 1525. In addition to the accounts of Marco Polo, much information of the maps was derived from contemporary European and Portuguese sources.
