Abstract
In this report, layer photonic structures with slant angles of 30º in silver-halide gelatin emulsions are fabricated using a two-beam holographic lithography method. Both the Bragg’s and diffraction grating effects are observed and studied. Furthermore, “V”-shaped planar structure in a single holographic plate is fabricated using a double exposure method. The ”V”-shaped structure enables light at Bragg wavelength to make a “U”-turn inside the emulsion and emerge in opposite direction of the normal incident beam. SEM images confirm the slant angles and spacing of the slanted layer structure, in good agreement with theoretical predictions.
