Abstract
With the rise of digital tools, the communication methods between mothers and other family
members have transformed greatly in recent years. This research objective is to explore
relationships between the mother's perceived mental support and care-taking tasks allocation
under the new communication model and design a commercially viable information system to
reduce the postpartum depression risk with the use of new technology. We propose an infantcentric
family informatics system to reduce postpartum depression risk experimented with 84
families. The system encourages information collection and sharing among all caretakers via
