Abstract
My Mphil thesis consists of [l] numerical studies of the scaling behavior of multi-layered disordered mesoscoipic sample modelled by the Anderson and Quantum percolation Model. The results my give new insight into the the interpretatiopn of low temperature experiments on the temperature dependence of the resistance of disordered mesoscopic conductors.
[2] preliminary studies of dipole-exciton model-application of a novel Green's function algorith to find the wave function and energies of the low-lying bound states of the dipole-exciton.
