Abstract
Today Online Learning is the trend. The dictum "Grow or die" may now also be true in the academic world. Education policy is changing, both in HK and other countries. Reduced research support only accelerates the need for an alternative growth strategy. In Physics Education, we also see the need for this new pedagogy. However, physics' abstract and conceptual nature may make it the most difficult subject to be delivered online. In this thesis, I shall describe our experience of developing an on-line course PHYS007 "Physical Phenomena in Everyday life" for non-physics majors using a variety of web authoring and multimedia tools. We shall discuss the approach we took, the difficulties we faced, and the experiences we drawn from this education experiment.
