In this paper, I developed and investigated two knowledge sharing related constructs, Knowledge Sharing Intention (KSI) and Knowledge Sharing Function Inventory (KSFI). The KSI instrument is based on Nonaka's theory of knowledge creation, while the KSFI instrument is based on four functional dimensions based on Katz's functional approach. The instrument was developed and refined in three steps. First, through a small-scale open-ended questionnaire survey and field interview, I generated two sets of items.
